Biography
Brad Bernstein is managing principal of Miles & Stockbridge’s North Bethesda office.
Brad represents individuals and businesses of all sizes in all types of complex civil litigation matters at trial and in the appellate courts. He regularly counsels clients on commercial matters, real estate disputes, fiduciary litigation, breach of contract claims and family law disputes.
A Montgomery County native, Brad is deeply invested in the local legal community. He served as president of the Montgomery County Inns of Court and chairman of the Judicial Selections Committee for the Montgomery County Bar Association. He spent a decade on the Board of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation and has chaired the Montgomery County High School Mock Trial Competition since 2005, reflecting his long-standing commitment to developing the next generation of trial lawyers.
A seasoned trial lawyer, Brad has been named one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers® in Maryland since 2018 and has been selected for inclusion in the areas of commercial litigation and real estate litigation in Best Lawyers in America® since 2020. In 2025, he was named the “Lawyer of the Year” for real estate litigation by Best Lawyers in America®. Brad has also been recognized as a Top Lawyer by Bethesda Magazine in 2023 and 2025 in the areas of civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution and appellate advocacy.
